Sampark is currently scaling up its initiatives on Empowerment and Resilience of Migrant Families and Early Childhood Care and Education for migrant children in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Position Overview
Sampark seeks to appoint a Project Manager: Empowerment and Resilience of Migrant Workers and Their Children in Hyderabad to provide senior operational leadership across all interventions and internal systems. The role is responsible for ensuring that organisational strategy and priorities are translated into effective implementation through strong systems, disciplined execution, and cross-team coordination.
Reporting to the Director for Migration, the Project Managerwill oversee programme implementation, operational planning, finance coordination, human resources systems, technology adoption, and monitoring and evaluation. The role works closely with programme field staff and teachers to strengthen quality, accountability, learning, and organisational effectiveness across all interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand project objectives, achievements in relation to targets and outcomes, impacts, be responsible and work towards achieving them.
- Manage Workers Resource Centres and ECCEs.
- Improve all existing training materials on health, legal, social, and financial inclusion and develop required new training materials.
- Train field level staff and teachers on project objectives, achievements in relation to targets and outcomes, impacts of the project, and motivate them to work towards achieving project objectives.
- Supervise the field level activities; regularly monitor and ensure the effective functioning of the field workers and ECCE teachers.
- Identify resource persons to deliver trainings to the target groups in the field of education, health, financial inclusion and social security, ECCE and legal aid.
- Establish linkages with Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCWWB) Department of Labour, Department of Education (Anganwadi centres and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan), and Health (Primary Health Centres), NALSA, and other relevant departments.
- Collect all the relevant welfare schemes from the different departments and document them in different languages.
- Organise legal clinic days and train workers on legal issues.
- Supervise ERP systems for maintaining profiles of migrant workers.
- Conduct monthly meeting with field staff and teachers document monthly progress of project and plan for next month
- Participate in research, impact and evaluations related to migrant workers issues.
- Coordinate with finance team regularly and monitor budget verses expenditure of projects
- Prepare monthly progress reports in English.
- Coordinate with offices of newspaper and TV channels to publish about interventions and success of Workers Resource Centre and ECCE.
- Support Director for Migration in preparing six months progress report and annual report for the donor.
- Handling official correspondence-mails, etc.
- Any other activity pertaining to the project that may arise from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Rural Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- 8 –10 years of experience in the development or not-for-profit sector and specially working with migrant families.
- Significant senior management experience overseeing multi-project operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing team of 10 and above .
Skills & Competencies
- Strong operational judgement and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent people leadership and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage complexity, multiple priorities, and tight timelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Telugu.
- Candidates with strong familiarity with Hyderabad and its socio-economic context will be strongly preferred.

- Willingness to travel to the field and government departments
