ABOUT CFAR
The Centre for Advocacy and Research (CFAR) is a national not-for-profit organisation established in 1998, working to advance inclusive governance and equitable access to public services across India. CFAR partners with communities and public institutions to strengthen systems in the areas of public health, gender equality, climate-resilient WASH, and social protection.
With a presence across eight Indian states, CFAR combines community-led platforms, data-driven monitoring, and institutional engagement to improve service delivery for women, informal workers, sanitation workers, persons with disabilities, and other marginalised groups. The organisation is known for integrating gender, equity, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI) principles into programme design and for building accountability mechanisms such as grievance redressal systems and digital feedback platforms.
Over the past three decades, CFAR has evolved into a trusted systems partner, advancing participatory governance and strengthening resilient, responsive public institutions.
