Senior Lead, Fundraising

VisionSpring seeks a strategic and solutions-oriented Senior Lead, Fundraising– South India, to build and steward high-value funding partnerships that expand access to vision services across the region.

The Lead, Fundraising – South India will oversee regional fundraising and account management, primarily focused on institutional donors—CSR partners, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. The role is responsible for sustaining a growing portfolio currently valued at ?6 crore -?7 crores, with a clear trajectory to scale to ?13.5 crore + annually.
This is a pivotal role for a fundraising professional with 8–10 years of experience, a demonstrated ability to raise significant funding, and deep expertise in structured account management, followthrough, and process discipline. The person in this role is not a “door knocker,” but a thoughtful strategist who ensures alignment, consistency, and excellence in relationship delivery.
The position reports to the Deputy Director, Resource Mobilisation, and is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, with domestic travel up to 40%.

What You’ll Do
Resource Mobilisation
- Identify and cultivate new CSR, foundation, and HNI leads aligned to VisionSpring’s strategy and impact priorities.
- Develop and maintain a targeted portfolio of donor relationships, contributing to India’s annual fundraising goals.
- Prepare compelling pitch presentations, concept notes, and proposals with clearly defined outcomes.
- Support donor engagement through presentations, briefings, site visits, and impact reports.
- Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities in CRM and track progress against goals.
Relationship Stewardship
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with partners and prospects.
- Engage donors in VisionSpring’s mission and outcomes, connecting their support to social and economic change.
- Collaborate with program, impact, and communications teams to develop high-quality donor materials.
- Coordinate internal teams during proposal and reporting processes to ensure timely, high-impact deliverables.
Strategic Contribution
- Contribute insights and recommendations to the fundraising strategy and team processes.
- Stay informed about sector developments and funding trends related to livelihoods, vision, CSR, and social impact.
- Support the Deputy Director and Director in preparing strategic documents, reports, and leadership updates.
What’s Required
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience in business development, fundraising, partnerships, or client relations.
- Demonstrated success in raising ?13.5 crore+ and managing donor or client relationships end-toend.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including pitch development and storytelling.
- Experience working with private sector stakeholders; familiarity with CSR or social enterprise a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, economics, international development, or related field.
- High standards of ethics and professional integrity.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% of the time.
- Must be legally authorised to work in India.
