Action for Food Production (AFPRO) is a socio-technical organization working for the upliftment of the rural poor through effective natural resource management. It works in the areas of Agriculture, Food Security, Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation, Watershed Management, Natural Resource Management and Climate Change. AFPRO is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 (Punjab Amendment) Act 1957 as extended to Delhi.

Position: AFPRO having its Head Office in New Delhi requires Manager for State Office, Karnataka stationed at Bengaluru.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate in Agriculture, Water Resource Development, Civil/SWC Engineering or any of the relevant subjects. Graduate technical persons of the above subjects with outstanding field experience will also be considered. Working through National level NGOs / International NGOs will be an added advantage.
Experience: The above position requires minimum 7-10 years of experience in development sector. Should have in depth technical expertise and work experience in Agriculture, Food Security, Livelihood, Water Sanitation, Watershed Management and Natural Resource Management.
Compensation: Depending on educational qualification, experience and performance in the interview.
Job Description:
The position is to lead multidisciplinary team for sourcing projects, capable of fund raising/fund mobilization, effective planning, execution and monitoring of projects and documentation. An understanding of Government policies mainly related to rural development and Corporate Social Responsibility, liaisoning skills and formulation of new projects/programmes, project management schemes and completion of the task with stipulated time period. He/She should be a good team player with multi-tasking ability, especially in communicating with funding partners and other stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Planning and implementation of development programs / projects in our domain areas by involving various stakeholders based on the regional needs.
• Networking/ coordination/ liaison with Government/Development agencies in the region for promotion / development of the programs.
• Extending socio-technical services for the effective implementation of Program/Projects related to Agriculture / Natural Resource Management / Climate Change.
• Interact with Heads and team members with funding agencies.
• Conducting Monitoring and Review exercises of the ongoing projects.
• Management and Evaluation of programs / projects
• Preparation of project /technical reports, project proposal and other required project documents.
• Coordinating the activities of multidisciplinary team of professional staff for the services to partners.
The above position requires extensive travel in multiple states.
