Professional Experience:
Over the course of 15 years, I have built a substantive career as an education development professional, working at the intersection of programme management, government partnerships, policy advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation to improve learning outcomes for marginalised children across India and South Asia.
My most recent professional engagement has been as Faculty of History at L2A IAS Coaching Institute, Old Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi, since November 2024, where I deliver a comprehensive History Optional curriculum for UPSC-CSE aspirants, covering Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Indian History. In this role, I mentor 50 students, develop test series and evaluation frameworks, and conduct specialised classes on historiography and answer writing techniques, reflecting my commitment to education beyond the development sector.
Prior to this, I served as Head, Government Partnerships (South) at Magic Bus India Foundation, Hyderabad, from September 2022 to October 2024. In this strategic role, I forged a landmark partnership with the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, for a teacher-led, activity-based life skills education programme reaching 1.3 million students across all government high schools in grades 6 to 10. I also negotiated and signed an MoU with Samagra Shiksha, Tamil Nadu, for implementing life skills education across 120 schools in six districts, and facilitated Magic Bus's inclusion in the Telangana Educational Leadership Collective. Throughout this role, I built strategic linkages with senior functionaries at NITI Aayog, NCERT, and the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Before Magic Bus, I spent nearly four years as Program Manager – Southeastern Region at NEG-FIRE, New Education Group, New Delhi, from November 2018 to September 2022. Here, I led diverse state and block-level teams in executing Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) programmes across tribal regions of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, developed culturally appropriate FLN learning materials in tribal mother tongues, and organised Training of Trainers for 700 government primary teachers in Koraput and Visakhapatnam. I also established a critical MoU with the Tribal Cultural Research and Training Mission, Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and led a regional team of 54 professionals.
Earlier in my career, I served as Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at NEG-FIRE (2015–2018), coordinating MEL activities across 21 partner organisations and introducing a tab-based MIS system; as Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator at ChildFund India (2014–2015), developing LFAs and impact studies across multiple states; and as Program Manager at Aide et Action International South Asia, Hyderabad (2012–2014), where I secured a UNGEI grant and led inter-state research on distress migration. My early career included roles as a Research Fellow with Global Compact Network India and a Junior Project Fellow at NCERT, where I worked on Panchayati Raj institutions and education of SC children under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
