Professional Experience:
With wide experience in sustainable development, the work has mainly focused on strategic coordination, project management, cross-sector collaboration, and policy implementation across India. In Liaison & Strategic Coordination, partnerships were built with national and state bodies like MoAFW, MNRE, MoRD, NABARD, ICAR Institutes, NGOs, and private companies to ensure smooth project work. As the main point of contact for NABARD, key responsibilities included managing meetings, project visits, and impact reviews. Working with ministries such as MoJS and MoRD helped improve policy implementation, while engaging with State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Departments ensured proper policy enforcement.
In Project Management & Implementation, several important projects were planned and executed, such as MGNREGA EB-GIZ & MoRD (CG), NABARD WDF (MP & CG), UPNRM (MS), TDF (MS), and IFAD-GoM CAIM (MS). Major watershed development programs like NHWDP (24 projects) and IGWDP (25 projects) in Maharashtra were also managed successfully. Other key projects included ITC-Mission Sunehra Kal (MSK), SDTT-Sukhi Baliraja Initiatives (SBI), VISHRAM (Vidarbha Stress and Health Programme), WOTR-Vasundhara, Vidarbha Panlot Mission (VPM), and CAIM.
Cross-Sector Collaboration & Outreach played a crucial role in bringing different stakeholders together. Partnerships with MNRE and ICAR (ATARIs, SAUs, KVKs) supported PM-KUSUM and GIZ projects. Around 100 workshops were organized for farmers across 100 KVKs under the Government of India’s 100 Days Program. Teamwork and linking different projects helped improve the overall results.
In Technical & Geospatial Planning, technology was used to promote sustainable development. Tools like CRSSM and e-Prakriti helped with sustainable farming. Expertise in managing natural resources, watershed development, and water budgeting was shown through work with BIRD Lucknow, SIRD Raipur, NABARD (MP & CG), and WOTR (MS).
Capacity Building & Knowledge Exchange involved creating training modules and MOOCs on sustainable soil management for World Bank-funded projects and MANAGE Hyderabad. Technical training was provided for DPAP & IWDP under DRDA, Amravati, and NABARD WDF projects in Chhattisgarh. Agricultural training was also offered in VPM, Amravati & Wardha districts.
In Value Chain Development, innovative work in potato and tomato farming improved sustainability and market connections. Similar support was extended under CAIM and other state programs.
Climate Action & Sustainability focused on promoting bioresource-based business models through the Urban-Rural Nutrients & Carbon Cycle (URNCC) initiative. Better resource management helped maintain long-term sustainability.
International Collaboration involved leading projects with Germany, India, and Ethiopia/Madagascar on agriculture and food systems. These projects focused on aligning goals, sharing knowledge, and measuring impact.
Monitoring & Evaluation included reviewing projects for IL&FS, Adarsh Gaon Yojana, and SBI-SRTT in Maharashtra. Ongoing support was given to NABARD WDF, ITC Mission Sunehra Kal, Hindustan Unilever Foundation, HDFC, and SIIL to maintain performance and funding.
Policy Coordination & Dissemination involved rolling out Mission Water Conservation guidelines and helping with MGNREGA work and labour budget planning. Resource Expertise & Technical Support offered guidance on natural resource management and sustainable practices.
