As a Consultant Dietitian at SATYA Medical Centre and Hospital, I have been responsible for providing dietary counseling and follow-up care to patients, with a focus on pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children. My primary duty has been to ensure that each patient receives an individually tailored care plan that meets their specific nutritional needs as well as providing Infant and Young child feeding (IYCF) counselling.
In addition to providing patient care, I have also advised healthcare professionals, catering staff, and nurses on nutritional matters. I have been involved in the dietary treatment of diseases and health conditions, which has required me to stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in the field of nutrition.

In my role as a Nutrition Consultant at DSS IMAGE TECH PRIVATE LIMITED, I was responsible for providing dietary counseling and follow-up care to the staff working at the organization. Like at SATYA Medical Centre, I was also involved in the dietary treatment of diseases and health conditions.

~ National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) for Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt. of India Nutrition Consultant ~ February 2012 till 29th June 2019:
At the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD), I served as a Nutrition Consultant for the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt. of India. In this role, I was a consultant in the project Central Monitoring Unit (CMU) at NIPCCD. My duties included monitoring the Anganwadi Services Scheme, tabulating and analyzing data, and writing reports. I was responsible for sending the Monitoring report with a letter to specific State/District Officials for information and necessary action.
I also provided training to ICDS functionaries on various programs and monitored the training program held for Elected Women Representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions in India, organized by MWCD, in the year 2017-18 and 2018-19. I assisted in research studies such as the concurrent Independent Evaluation of ICDS in 100 Blocks of High Burden Districts and the National Evaluation report. Additionally, I assisted in organizing various social development events of NIPCCD like “Hausla” and revised CMU Proforma.
In my capacity as a Nutrition Consultant at NIPCCD, I developed and implemented nutrition plans for pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls, and children. I also suggested low-cost recipes made from locally available food and identified state-specific micronutrient-rich recipes to encourage ICDS functionaries to implement them in their respective states.
In addition I also provided consultation on Infant and Young child feeding (IYCF).

~ Previous to the above I gained valuable knowledge and experience working with some prestigious organizations such as;
NEST Hospital as a dietitian, Centre for Operations Research & Training (CORT) as a Research Analyst, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi as an intern and Physicians Weight Management Centre, New Delhi as a Nutritionist.
I completed a Master of Science in “Food Science and Applied Nutrition” from Allahabad Agriculture Institute, affiliated to Allahabad University in 1996 with First Division after finishing B.Sc. Home Economics from the same institute.
During the two-year masters program, I received comprehensive training in the principles of food science and nutrition, with a strong focus on practical applications. The program offered a deep understanding of the science of food, including its processing, preservation, and distribution. The curriculum covered topics such as Food Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Processing, and Food Analysis. I also received training in the nutritional aspects of food, including food and health, food and disease, and food safety.
The program provided ample opportunities for hands-on experience, with laboratory sessions and practical training in the areas of food processing, food analysis, and sensory evaluation. I was able to work with a variety of food products, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and meats, gaining valuable experience in the development of food products that meet consumer needs and preferences. This included the concepts of Dairy and Animal Husbandry
The program also provided training in the management of food systems, including food marketing and supply chain management. I learned how to develop and implement food safety and quality management systems to ensure that food products meet regulatory standards and consumer expectations.
I demonstrated a high level of academic achievement by obtaining a First Division in the program. This indicates that I had an excellent academic record and a deep understanding of the concepts and principles of food science and applied nutrition.

Overall, the Master of Science in Food Science and Applied Nutrition from Allahabad University provided me with a strong foundation in food science and nutrition, preparing me for a successful career in the field of health and nutrition. The practical training and hands-on experience gained through the program will undoubtedly be an asset in any nutrition-related industry or profession.
