More than 10 years of cutting edge professional experience of new business development and management of complex public health and integrated projects, in South Asia. Direct field implementation Knowledge and experience of Reproductive & Child Health, Family Planning, HIV/AIDS and Nutrition projects in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. In my present job of Health Adviser - South Asia with IFRC, I am providing support to all South Asian countries in planing, execution and evaluation of health programs of varied scales. As part of my job description I am providing support to individual National Societies (Red Cross/ Red Crescent) in identifying major health and management challenges that prevent successful implementation of specific community-based resilience programs; help design country strategies and plans to overcome these blockages; help scale up targeted health and care projects and provide technical advice on the implementation of the selected actions. Ensuring that the programs are aligned with the relevant Federation’s policies, strategies and standards. Spearheading development of national framework / policy; local contextualization of existing tools; public (and especially community) health interventions including MNCH, Nutrition, HIV, tuberculosis and immunizations; primary health care; first aid (including commercial first aid). I am supporting the National Societies to form inter country and regional links in sharing good practice, as well as the provision of coordination assistance for fundraising and networking with external partners. Applying holistic understanding and experience of good practice in project management and, Nutrition, MNCH, TB and HIV & AIDS programming.

In my stint with FHI 360 I have coordinated more than 15 proposal development processes and acted as lead writer for 6 proposals (out six won two proposals, one proposal dropped at the HQ level and three proposals lost). I also created a digitized system for ensuring timely submission of quality deliverable. I led, finalized and executed 24 contracts ranging from US$37,000 to US$6.371 million. Acted as the key Program Management point person for prestigious Urban Health Initiative (UHI) project which is run by a consortium of 5 core partners and more than 20 technical assistance partners

During my long working years with CARE in India I achieved many milestones and had undergone a varied range of profile and portfolios. I have Masters Degree in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work, Departent of Social Work, Delhi University. I have done my graduation in Social Work from Department of Social Work, Visva Bharati University. I managed to maintain a first division score (60% of more) throuhout my career.
