Professional Experience:
I have been working with the same research organization since 1998 with progressively greater responsibilities over the years, in research, research management and other administrative duties. I have worked on a range of research projects funded by the government, UN agencies and other national and international donor agencies. My involvement with the research projects ranges from gender and development, livelihood issues of poor communities, ICTs, environment, HIV/AIDS, social movements and ethnicity to programme evaluations and evaluative studies. My expertise lies in quantitative and qualitative research techniques, field based research, develop/design project proposals, writing of research reports and documentation, supervision and coordination of projects. I have written several research reports, published in books and reputed journals and presented research findings both in national and international meetings and workshops. I have taken part in various debates and discussions focused on social issues and policy implications of social research. I have also coordinated international research projects with both national and international partners, organized seminars and workshops. I participated in several training workshops and also acted as resource person for a few other training programmes organized by the organization among the social workers. Apart from research and related activities, I have been supervising the organizational website, information dissemination, Newsletters and Annual Report and IT infrastructural facilities of the organization. As a member of Academic Planning Committee of the organization, I have contributed in development and planning of research and documentation.
During 2006 and 2007, I have worked as a guest faculty at the School of Environmental Studies, Delhi University for its M.A. and M.Sc. programme in environmental studies. I am a member of Community of Evaluators (COE).
