Post graduate in Masters of Philosophy in Public Health from Jawaharlal Nehru University. M.Phil Dissertation topic- “ An International Discourse on Social Determinants of Health”. Awarded the prestigious Sheila Zubrigg prize, JNU for best academic performance in M.Phil batch 2006-2008.
Completed with First Division, Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Delhi (2006). M.A (Social Work) Dissertation topic- “Domestic Violence Against Women- Focus on the Health Status of the Battered Women”.
Bachelors in Political Science Honours from University of Delhi.
Presently, I am pursuing certificate course on Monitoring and Evaluation of Health Programs from Public Health Foundation of India, Distant learning.
Work Experience
Worked with United Nations for a period of more than 7 years at : (1) International Organisation for Migration in the capacity of a Case Worker and Cultural Orientation Trainer. (2) Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the capacity of UN Volunteer, Protection Assistant.
Internationally, worked with National Health Services, United Kingdom on health and well being of refugees and asylum seekers, as Health information and Support Worker.
I have also been associated with University of Delhi in the capacity of Guest Lecturer and different NGO’s.
