Professional Experience: |
I am having about 11 years of working experience in Government Departments in various sectors such as Environment, Fisheries, Agriculture, Industry etc, in monitoring and managing the environmental and social issues related to project activities. I have worked in several projects spearheaded by several national and international governmental agencies, such as the World Bank, UNDP, FEE, GIZ etc. I have experience in liaising with many governmental and private organizations and both at the State level and at the Central level.
I served as various positions with Centre for Environment Education (CEE). I worked and handled the projects under thematic areas viz., Environmental Management, Environmental Education, Water and Sanitation and Biodiversity Conservation. I served on a World Bank project. I was given responsibilities in implementing Environmental Compliances, Environmental Safeguard Policies and Environmental Monitoring for ESMF implementation. Also, I am expertise in IFC Performance Standards and other International Environmental, Social and Risk Management Frameworks.
As a consultant with the National Biodiversity Authority, I Organize meetings at the national and regional level on Biological Diversity Acts and Rules for different stakeholders. I have worked with Cambridge University, Ministry of Education (MoE), Republic of Maldives, where I was given the responsibility as a Faculty in Fisheries Science, involved in teaching and research and field-experienced with projects on Marine Biology and Oceanography. As a Research Associate, I served with Tata Dhan Academy an offshoot of Dhan Foundation, a pioneer development organization in South India in the area of Risk Assessment.
