Professional Experience: |
Post superannuation, I led the biometric & demographic data collation efforts for the AADHAAR Project in the NCR managing end to end operations of more than 80 geographically distributed diverse teams.
Indian Army provided me with varied experiences besides those of purely military functions like operational & logistics planning & management, HRM, financial management and operational employment of over 3000 men, long range guns & rockets, electronic warfare equipment, radars and other sophisticated warlike equipment. Operationally I led over 14 independent & diverse organizations in a multicultural environment. In addition I have had experience in disaster management and civil military liaison at highest level. Besides the military aspects all these functions have left me with the skills, practices & knowledge applicable beyond the armed forces.
Administratively I have led diverse managerial teams across all aspects of administration of military stations including facility development, schools & hospitals, planning & execution of civil works & land management maintaining liaison & collaborating with civil authorities. I was responsible for the administrative planning and conduct of a multinational event of the magnitude of the 14th Indo – US Army Executive Steering Group Meeting & Doctrinal Exchange for the year 2010.
In the area of training, I led a training team of 40 senior officers, planning & conducting training programs for inter disciplinary & cross functional candidates. This involved integration of programs with the strategic vision, content development, delivery and evaluation of the results of instruction. I was twice awarded the Commendation Card by the General Officer Commanding in Chief, Army Training Command for my efforts.
In the areas of Information, Intelligence & Security, I organized & led the “Information Warfare Wing” covering Information Operations in the Western theatre. I was a member of the team responsible for providing security to the Commonwealth games in New Delhi. I participated in active Counter Insurgency Operations in Srinagar (J & K) which included intelligence gathering, planning & execution of operations in combination with non military players including civil administration. With practical intelligence & security management experience, managed diverse intelligence teams and ensured security of major military assets & installations.
In Army Aviation I planned & executed behavioral & technical (flying & ground) training of 100 plus aviation trainees while heading an Army Aviation Training Organization (20 Helicopter fleet, 20 Aviation instructors, 30 Supervisors, 350 Personnel). I led operations, training, scheduling, maintenance, & utilization of the fleet in coordination with Civil Aviation, Air Force & Army Aviation.
As a Senior Group Testing Officer, conducted Personality Suitability Assessments and advised on strategic, functional & technical aspects of recruitment & selection to the Armed Force
