Strategic communications and public relations leader with over 17 years of experience shaping institutional visibility, sector narratives, and stakeholder trust across social impact, education, and financial inclusion ecosystem. My career has been defined by building and leading communication functions that strengthen organisational positioning, support partnerships, and enable meaningful engagement across policy, media, and multi-stakeholder platforms.
Currently serving as Director – Communications and PR at Reach to Teach, I lead the design and implementation of an integrated communications strategy that aligns programme narratives with advocacy and external engagement priorities. This work has enhanced organisational visibility, expanded partnerships, and positioned the organisation as a credible voice in an inclusive systemic education reform. By strengthening executive positioning, building knowledge assets, and driving a focused outreach approach, I have supported the organisation’s growing influence within the sector.
Previously, as AVP – Communications at the Microfinance Industry Network, I led sector-wide communications and advocacy initiatives that shaped the public narrative around financial inclusion in India. My role involved engaging with policy makers, media, and industry stakeholders to support dialogue, manage communications during periods of regulatory change and crisis, and strengthen the industry’s collective voice. I also led campaigns, flagship publications, and multi-stakeholder convenings that contributed to increased visibility and collaboration across the ecosystem.
My early career in global communications agencies including Edelman, Dentsu, WPP GroupM, and BIG FM provided a strong grounding in integrated campaigns, brand storytelling, and strategic planning across diverse sectors. This experience continues to inform my approach, allowing me to combine strategic insight with strong execution capability and a deep understanding of audience engagement.
Across roles, I have advised senior leadership on reputation management, external positioning, and stakeholder engagement, while building and mentoring teams and establishing processes that enhance communication effectiveness. I bring a collaborative and systems-oriented approach, working closely with government agencies, donors, civil society partners, and media to translate organisational impact into compelling narratives that build credibility and support long-term goals.
