Professional Experience:
Dr B.Sandhya is an Indian Police Service officer with 35 years of rich and varied experience in strategic planning in Police organizations by leading very large contingents of Police Forces in Law and Order, forming and extracting work from teams doing crime investigations, organizing outreach programmes for the downtrodden sections of the society, preparing annual budgets and policy 2 documents and recruiting personnel to various branches of the Police. Was adjudicating member of State Transport Authority and District Transport Authority. Successfully investigated several major cases throughout the career. As an officer in the capacity of Indian Police Service, throughout years of service, have supervised and managed many senior level Police officers. All these experiences have moulded and enriched competency to lead any Human Resource Management Organization connected to Administration, Law Enforcement and connected areas. Was invited to UNODC, Vienna to prepare a Hand book for Law Enforcement officers. Recipient of Annual Award of the International Association of Women Police (2010, Minneapolis, U.S.A). Conducted a Global Conclave on Community Policing at Kochi (Convener of the Conclave organized by Government of Kerala), Contribution made for the preparation of SoP for the Counter Terrorism Programme for South East Asia, UNODC viz, ‘Developing A PCVE Strategic Communication Initiative in South East Asia’.
In addition, have shouldered numerous responsibilities associated with lead projects to ensure gender justice at the workplace and the society. Introduced several successful women safety projects. Was heading the Women Investigation Wing of the State. Supervision of Law and Order and Crimes of Police Districts of Kerala. Experience in all matters in connection with Police Administration, Modernisation, Constructions, Purchase and Police Sports Recruitment and Development. Was Nodal Officer for the Community Policing Project of Kerala 3 Police. Have experience in Financial Management, Materials Management, Modernisation and upgradation of Technology for Kerala Police and Kerala Fire & Rescue Services.
