Professional Experience:
At present I am working for PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) Private Limited as a Plant Protection and Production Expert under BAGRI (Bihar Agriculture Growth Reform Initiative), Patna since February 2019. My current base is in Mumbai with need based visits to Patna, Bihar. I am instrumental in developing strategies for promotion, adoption and expansion of organic cultivation. My major task is formulation of state organic policy and roadmap for state organic mission.
My passion for organic agriculture inspired me to become a co-founder and CTO in GroOrganic Agriventures LLP, Mumbai (2016-2019). I took charge of training; team building; management of FPO’s; crop planning and goal setting for expansion of organic food market in Mumbai and nearby cities.
As a part of my lab to land journey, I worked on different projects in East and West Africa. While working on large scale paddy cultivation project (2015-2016) in Republic of Guinea (West Africa), I lead the project as a General Manager for TOPWORTH Agri Guinea S.A. I was instrumental in project planning, agriculture operations, crop production, post-harvest management; marketing of paddy produce; monitoring project budget and overall project management. In Ethiopia (East Africa), I was heading Research and Development wing of S & P Energy Solutions Plc. (2011-2013). As a Head R&D, I essayed a stellar role in planning and executing research and business plans with special reference to commercial production of agricultural crops, mainly, Maize, Cotton, Soybean, Pigeon pea etc. Large scale (500 ha.) cultivation of cotton was one of the major task. I also played a crucial role in standardization of plant propagation methods for Pongamia tree species as a potential bio-fuel crop in Ethiopia.

My research work and experience in plant tissue culture acquired during my Ph.D. studies triggered my entry into Reliance Life Sciences, Navi Mumbai. During my 8 years of career (2002-2010) in Reliance Life Sciences, I worked on different R & D projects on Mango, Jatropha, Stevia etc., mainly on standardization of plant propagation methods using different tissue culture techniques. I Worked with Dr. R. T. Gunjate as a Horticulture team member for development of Mango Plant Tissue Culture Protocol at PTC Lab.,Jamnagar (Reliance Industries Ltd.), Gujarat.

I started my career with Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Co. Ltd., Jalna (1998-2000) while working as seed processing officer. I worked as a Research Associate in DBT sponsored project on mango tissue culture at Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli (2000-2002).
