Education:
I completed a Master of Science in “Food Science and Applied Nutrition” from Allahabad Agriculture Institute, affiliated to Allahabad University in 1996 with First Division after finishing B.Sc. Home Economics from the same institute.
During the two-year masters program, I received comprehensive training in the principles of food science and nutrition, with a strong focus on practical applications. The program offered a deep understanding of the science of food, including its processing, preservation, and distribution. The curriculum covered topics such as Food Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Processing, and Food Analysis. I also received training in the nutritional aspects of food, including food and health, food and disease, and food safety.
The program provided ample opportunities for hands-on experience, with laboratory sessions and practical training in the areas of food processing, food analysis, and sensory evaluation. I was able to work with a variety of food products, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and meats, gaining valuable experience in the development of food products that meet consumer needs and preferences. This included the concepts of Dairy and Animal Husbandry
The program also provided training in the management of food systems, including food marketing and supply chain management. I learned how to develop and implement food safety and quality management systems to ensure that food products meet regulatory standards and consumer expectations.
I demonstrated a high level of academic achievement by obtaining a First Division in the program. This indicates that I had an excellent academic record and a deep understanding of the concepts and principles of food science and applied nutrition.

Overall, the Master of Science in Food Science and Applied Nutrition from Allahabad University provided me with a strong foundation in food science and nutrition, preparing me for a successful career in the field of health and nutrition. The practical training and hands-on experience gained through the program will undoubtedly be an asset in any nutrition-related industry or profession.
