I am a passionate inter-disciplinary development professional having over 25 years of experience in programme management and social development, including the last 17 years in senior positions in India. I have extensive work experience on issues like child right and child protect, public sector education in India, education leadership and management, youth engagement and life skills, early childhood care & education, WASH, livelihood security, capacity building and skill enhancements. gender equity and social inclusion. I have functional expertise on programme / project management (which includes providing strategic orientation to projects / programmes; development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluations of social development projects and programme), conducting qualitative research studies including impact assessments, end-of-project evaluations, designing and conducting knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) studies and process documentations. I am well versed in project cycle management and planning, monitoring and evaluation (PME) tools, particularly in the Log Frame approach of programme planning, monitoring and evaluations.
Possess experience of working with organisations such as Christian Aid UK, Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS), CARE India, CASA India, New Education Group-Foundation for Innovation and Research in Education (NEG-FIRE) and a range of big, medium, small NGOs working and with marginalised Communities across India. During my association with mentioned development organizations, I had a fructuous working relationship with International Organisations like DFID - UK, MISEREOR - Germany, Kindermissionswerk – Germany, Welthungerhilfe – Germany, World Reader - USA and Indian Corporates like Tata Trust, Tata Power Community Development Trust and Transforming Rural India Foundation (TRIF).
Government collaboration and engagement has been one of my key strength areas as a professional, have been successful in collaborating / associating / forging MOUs / approvals with various state, district, block level government departments. I have had the privilege of representing the Advisory Committee to the Education department of Government of Madhya Pradesh on education in India. Right now, I am leading research on “Use of tribal / regional languages in primary education in Madhya Pradesh” for “Atal Bihari Bajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy analysis”, Bhopal, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
