Professional Experience:
I joined the development sector in 2014 after working in the corporate sector for three years.
My beginning with Teach For India was transformative. As a teacher to 40 children in an under-resourced government school classroom for two years, I took away three key learning. First, I saw that all children could learn, and it was the responsibility of all to see how to make that happen. Second, the growth of India in every way was critically dependent on equity in education, and that quality education is a key human right. Thirdly, students, teachers, school leaders, and communities have agency. Building leadership is meant to develop ways to harness and bring out that agency to do the work.

As a teacher (Teach For India Fellow), I was recognized for having had an exceptional impact on the students and myself, and my journey was archived to teach excellence in teaching.

I coached and trained fellows after graduating from the two-year fellowship in 2016. Finally, as a Senior Manager, I coached Education Entrepreneurs across India under a growth model project of Teach For India- TFIx, for four years. This experience has been key to deeply understanding needs and solutions across contexts of conflict, disability, and tribal regions, to mention a few. For the last six months, I have worked as a consultant in education and youth projects across the country.
Education:
In 2022 I graduated with a South Asian Diploma in Narrative Practices from Narrative Practices India. This was a specialized choice after having worked with underserved communities for eight years to build agency in people.

In 2008, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Political Science from Loreto College, Kolkata.

Before this, I studied at a boarding school, Dr. Graham's Homes School in Kalimpong, and completed my higher secondary with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology.
Affiliations and Achievements:
- Diploma in South Asian Narrative Practices

- Completed a Learning fellowship in Diversity Equity and Inclusion with the Teach For All Network.
