Professional Experience: |
My current work mainly includes collaborating with different government and non-government agencies in Asia to develop science based evidence to support decision making and planning. I have experience of working with decision makers at different hierarchies such as district, province, national, and international level. I have worked with multiple stakeholders and partners including development partners, government departments, NGOs, and private sectors in following countries viz., India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan, and Myanmar. The broad topics of collaboration and implementation mainly included forest management, technical support in developing national adaptation plans, climate change vulnerability and resilience building, enhancing the capacity of stakeholders, developing decision support systems, forest climate sensitivity and adaptation planning, and SDG monitoring.
I have very good knowledge and practical experience of working on contemporary topics such as advancements in technology in climate change, adaptation planning, linkages with SDGs, ecological modelling, and machine learning and AI. I have been an active team member in arranging different events including conferences, trainings, and workshops and I have led a few key events that hosted participants from various countries. I have worked on writing a few proposals in my tenure at ICIMOD and I am happy to have contributed in securing funding of more than 10 million USD from different funding agencies. I have strong writing and presentation skills, which reflects in my publication list that includes >25 research articles, >10 book chapters, and >15 presentations at various national and international forums. I enjoy working with multi-functional and multicultural teams.
