Professional Experience: |
I am associated with Bandhan since March 2013. I manage 3 different verticals under Bandhan-Konnagar's health initiatives - mother and child care, WATSAN and safe water. Under my leadership around 550+ staff members are working across 6 states. Through the staff members we are managing around 4500+ health volunteers for providing counseling and awareness generation support to rural communities on mother and child care issues. I have contributed in making the safe water initiative a sustainable venture, also successfully leading the WATSAN project with support from different donor agencies and under my leadership the team based across 5 states facilitated construction of around 1 lakh individual household latrines.
Previously I am associated with SAATHII, an national NGO working on HIV/AIDS issues for around 8 years, and also with various regional television channels and newspapers as researcher, associate director and freelance journalist.
I possess good knowledge on various government policies with regard to development initiatives. Have worked extensively on water and sanitation, safe drinking water, undernourishment of under 5 children, gender, and human rights issues and my core competencies are programme management, networking, advocacy and capacity building, communication material development and donor liaison.

I am a post graduate in Political Science with specialization on Political Sociology. I successfully completed my post graduation securing 57% from Rabindra Bharati University in 2003.
