Professional Experience: |
Upon finishing high school, I was employed by ITC Ltd. under its WelcomLead programme along with pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism. In the three years I worked as a hospitality trainee, I was a food and beverage service personnel and worked in the front of the house and my focus was constantly drawn towards finding ways of bringing change in day to day practices to make them more environmentally conscious.
Spending three years in the hospitality sector taught me discipline and instilled in me a strong work ethic along with polishing my public relations skills. Continuing a career in hospitality would have been the more convenient route but I chose to consciously move away from it when I started my association with WWF-India. I began volunteering for their education projects in August 2017 which led to an internship with the Environment Education division in various roles in November 2017.
In May 2018, I progressed to the position of a consultant in the same department. As a consultant, I was responsible for outreach, communications and partnerships for our digital portal for environment education and action – One Planet Academy.
Since July 2019 I have been serving in the role of Senior Programme Officer in the same department.

I am an offer holder for an Msc in Environment and International Development from various top universities in the UK.
I have a bachelors in Tourism Studies from Indira Gandhi National Open University & Hotel Management from ITC's Hospitality Management Institute.

A notable moment in my career was being invited to be the youngest ever key-note speaker to inspire environmental consciousness amongst students at Mayo College in Ajmer.
