After having studied and lived in Germany for eight years (1991-1998), I returned back to India/New-Delhi, whereby, I worked with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, a German political Foundation wherein my primary responsibility was to work on the economic policy of South Asia. My European experience and Indian background brought in a unique blend to overcome cultural, intellectual and social challenges, thereby furthering my successful interventions and achieving my time-bound goals. Under the broad parameter of economic policy of South Asia, I was working together with business associations, chambers of commerce, policy-makers, governments, academics and other target groups, I looked into liberalising economic opportunities for the private sector. Addressing concerns of improving business in a fast-changing socio-economic environment, I worked on trade and investment issues including from renewable energy, digital technologies, ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and their promotion (internationally, regionally and nationally). I have worked very closely in the South Asian region for the integration and promotion of economic growth of South Asia. Having travelled to all countries of South Asia, I have personally been involved with the political and business representatives from each of these counties. My last assignment was heading a company, exporting Indian Natural Sandstone to Germany. Being a part of the private sector in India and responsible for all the compliances and operational tasks, I got an insight into the practical challenges of management. I was managing a staff of 17 individuals and had the opportunity to test my managerial and strategic skills.
