Professional Experience: |
The Hans Foundation: Since 1st January 2014 to 07th Feb 2020 – worked as the Executive Director in India. I have completed my assigned on 7th Feb 2020 and exploring opportunities in Development sector.
The Hans Foundation (THF), an NGO based out of Delhi. THF’s development work is focused largely on four sectors viz., health, education, disability and livelihood / women empowerment. It supports developmental activities by providing grants to National Trust, Govt of India; Govt of Uttarakhand, Govt of Maharastra and over 150 NGO partner organizations with a total outlay of INR 180 Cr (appr US$ 200 million) annually.
As the Executive Director, I provided the overall technical vision, leadership and financial support for all programmatic activities. A significant part of my job duties is the oversight of financial and administrative activities to reduce risk and ensure correct implementation and positive performance report on THF funded programs. I needed to liaise with Partners both Govt and NGOs at a variety of levels and provide pertinent information on Program status to the Management. I reported to the CEO in India.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve THF’s mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
• Assist in funding new proposals, drafting of new programmatic budgets, determine cost effectiveness of prospective proposals.
• Assist in Programmatic designs and implementation
• Assist in design, implementation and timely execution of THF programmes.
• Ensure all government regulations and requirements are disseminated to staff and NGOs.
• Ensure adequate controls are installed and documentation that passes audit.
• Oversees all purchasing and payroll activities.
• Oversee the management and coordination of all reporting activities.
• Develop and maintain system of internal control
• Monitor financials of the organization.
• Manage and supervise all Program related activities and staff.
• Monitor and direct Administrative and Financial policies and procedure for THF with the support of the Director of Finance and Administration.
• Maintain open communications with funding agencies – donors in USA and India.
