Professional Experience:
MENTOR TOGETHER, BANGALORE, IN | Junior Program Manager (June 2016- 18), Mentee Manager (June 2018 - Present)
As India’s first and largest youth mentoring organisation, Mentor Together (MT) provides empowering one-to-one mentoring relationships that helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds break the inequality of opportunity. Mentors in the program impart crucial academic and career information, IT and English (spoken and written) skills, and life skills like self-esteem, self-expression, teamwork and time-management.

• Managing end to end mentee side of program operations for the ‘Community based life-skills mentoring program’ & mentor as well as mentee side of operations for the ‘Mentor to Go (M2G) mobile mentoring program.
o Identified, selected, monitored and supported over 2000 mentees (aged 13 - 22 years) across both the programs. They showed increased emotional and social well-being, cognitive development as well and enhanced motivation to realize their aspirations at the end of the program.
o Explored synergies and established partnerships with schools and colleges, other NGOs including shelter homes, to expand Mentor Together’s support circle.
o Plan, organise and conduct several workshops for mentees across both programs. Successfully organised summer camps for youth in Bangalore’s life-skills program.
o Work closely with concerned government officials and seek requisite permissions for program implementation in government schools / colleges. Have been successful at getting the required permissions across each of the years, beginning 2017.
• Managing mentee team members; training, monitoring and supporting them in pursuit of excellent program implementation.
• Onboarded and trained new-hires/colleagues on key mentee operational processes.
PARIVARTHANA, HUNSUR, IN | Assistant Project Director (March 2015 - June 2016)
Parivarthana aims at upward social mobility for marginalised communities in rural geographies. Since its inception, it has been working very successfully for low cost and eco-friendly sustainable rural development activities as well.

• Managed end to end operations in Parivarthana’s foster home. The foster home was set up as an ancillary set up to allow tribal adults involve in livelihood activities without any concern for the well-being of their children.
o Managed all administrative responsibilities.
o Worked closely with and managed ~20 staff members to ensure students (75 boys & 75 girls) attended schools regularly, they were fed nutritionally, the place was clean and hygienic and the like.
o Conducted weekly trainings / workshops for the children which involved trainings on Child Rights, POSCO and other relevant laws, or even for recreation purposes (art / craft etc).
• Worked with the Parivarthana team to sensitize adult beneficiaries on eco-friendly practices, mobilized groups to collectively address local issues, empowered them with knowledge and skills to keep the solutions sustainable and also set up support groups for them.
• Reporting and documentation.

FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH IN HEALTH SYSTEM, MYSORE, IN | Joined as Field Investigator and got promoted to the role of Senior Investigator within a year (December 2011 - October 2014)
FRHS is committed to research and evidence-based approach to improving public health services in India.

• At FRHS, I worked across 3 distinct projects, viz: Dristhi program, mCheck & IMATCHINE.
o The aim of the Dristhi program was to reduce manual data collection efforts for health-workers (of Auxiliary Nurse-Midwives (ANMs)) in Primary Health-care Centres (PHCs). Across the 2 years I was involved in this project, I worked, along with my team to first understand the nature of data collected by ANMs manually, the format of the data collected, the purpose and use of it etc. Post that understanding, worked on a digital format that could be fed into a tablet and finally once the app and tablet were ready, trained ANMs.

1. I did my Degree Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Geography (Jul 2009), Maharani's Arts and Commerce College, Mysore University
2. I did my Master in Social work (Generic) Dept of Social Work in the year 2009-2011, Manasa Gangotri, Mysore University
