I have 18 years’ experience as a journalist, having worked with the entertainment, business and general desks in The Times of India (Mumbai and Hyderabad), The Telegraph (Kolkata), The Economic Times (Kolkata), Hindustan Times (Kolkata), Mumbai Mirror (Mumbai) and DNA (Mumbai). I have mentored and led teams in the various positions that I have held over the years. I am adept at creating and overseeing content, leading and mentoring teams, delegating responsibility and finding newer ways to keep the reader engaged. I commission stories and ensure that the piece comes on time. I am always ready to respond to opportunities as they arise, and over time have delivered quality content consistently in a high-pressure environment where deadlines are sacrosanct.
I have spearheaded the coverage of many major events and campaigns in my organisation. I have also conceptualised and packaged stories for the web. I have worked on data-based stories with special focus on interactivity and worked with user generated content to increase engagement on the web as well as print.
