Professional Experience: |
I am a registered Project Management Professional (PMI®) with extensive experience in portfolio, programme & project management across education, media & content production, and development sectors. I have held leadership positions in many organizations for strategizing and aiding in achieving organizations’ vision and goals (resume attached).
I am passionate about education, and have over the past 12 years established 3 major institutes for teaching media and film production in India. Media can be a powerful instrument for social change and for inspiring positive impact, hence all these institutes have stressed on creating content that addresses, questions or comments on social adversities and inequalities. These institutes have also helped many corporates create CSR films to spread the word about their social work initiatives.
In the development sector I have been applying my project management, M&E, change management, and capacity building skills to help NGOs transform their approach towards social work in order to maximize their impact. In my latest voluntary position as a Project Manager for Atma (an Accelerator for Education), I have been handling all projects under their Remote Accelerator program and Atma Network (a network of over 420 NGOs across India) in spreading best practices for organisational management.
I’m good at laying down effective systems for achieving the set goal, and at identifying gaps in existing systems and addressing them in keeping with the evolving objectives of the NGO. My strengths include effective stakeholder management, and leading teams comprising of people with varied experience, qualifications and skills. I have managed teams ranging from 3 to 60 people. I have guided the formulation and implementation of policies and regulations pertaining to various stakeholders. I have worked with state government universities to ensure regulatory compliance, and have helped marketing teams form dynamic and cultural partnerships with national & international organisations. I am detail oriented, organized and methodical, and have multi-dimensional stakeholder management experience. I am a voracious learner and constantly look for opportunities to enhance and apply my knowledge and skills.
