Professional Experience:
My work experience includes 4 years practice at the High Court of MP where I expedited variety of issues involving juvenile justice, sexual harassment and molestation of women.

Also being a Certified Mediator, endeavored to implement mediation to resolve such like cases.


Besides litigation, I have also worked as an Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, in one of the leading Private Universities.i worked on promoting restorative justice models and their incorporation in the criminal justice system of India with special emphasis of crimes involving juvenile offenders and children who are victims of crime.

In addition to the above, for past 7 years in areas under my beat, I had counselled and offered joint therapy sessions to women and children living in abusive and violent relationships, which even included talking to accused. With which, I was able to identify triggers of violence and helped the victims with legal aid and protection. My counselling and joint sessions both with victims and with accused sometimes fructified in rehabilitation.

Currently I work in the capacity of:

a) President, District Level Committee {constituted under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

b) Member, District Level Committee {constituted U/S 54(1)(2) & 41 of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 by Women & Child Welfare Department, Bhopal (M.P.).}

Also an active

c) Member of “Atmajyoti-Drishtiheen Kanya Vidyalaya”, Gwalior. {an NGO dedicated for the welfare of blind girls. Entrusted with management of accommodation and safety arrangements}


I have had the opportunity to study Juvenile Justice System in India and the US. My experience have sensitized me to work further for social justice and equality.

I am proficient in public speaking and adept at sharing knowledge across varied audience; a skill honed in courtrooms and in classrooms.


I am proficient with legal research, policy evaluation, analysis and assessing case studies etc.
Education:
Born into a family of lawyers, I have been closely witnessing issues related to societal injustice towards women subject to sexual harassment and under-privileged children since my early days. After finishing Master’s from SU Buffalo (U.S.). Presently, I'm pursuing Ph.D. at The Golden Gate University, San Francisco. (U.S.A.). The topic of my Doctorate research is alleviating the position of victim of crime by using mediation as a tool, especially for resolving conflicts involving juveniles.


In addition, I am a Certified Mediator and have ever since endeavored to implement mediation to resolve such like cases.

Participated in the panel discussion on the topic “Maintaining harmony through media (with special reference to section 153-A and 505 of Indian Penal Code)” at the 6th Communal Harmony Week organized by The Scindia School, Scindia Fort, Gwalior on the 23rd of November 2016.
Judged the annual NLIU-INADR International Mediation Tournament held at National Law Institute University, Bhopal from 2014 to 2016.
Invited as guest speaker on the topic “Women Empowerement” at National Convent School, Gwalior organized by All India catholic Union on the 8th of March 2014.
