Professional Experience: |
My experiences as a Promotions Officer for a small Delhi-based publishing firm and Media Coordinator at the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) have taught me how to apply and customize theoretical and technical communications for maximum impact. As part of my responsibilities at CSTEP, I organized outreach activities (events, webinars, podcasts, interviews, etc.), managed and updated the company website and its social media handles, and generated content about the organization and its work for different kinds of outputs. I was also the organization's go-to person for all media related activities.
My responsibilities at CARE India include managing national and regional level PR/media activities (both online and offline); curating content for knowledge products like newsletters and annual reports; and producing brand building products like diaries, films, etc. Ensuring that CARE's brand guidelines are followed in all IEC materials and providing editorial support are a part of my profile as well.
The core skills I have developed include:
1.Developing and implementing Communication and/or Media Strategy.
2.Preparing and disseminating high impact messages using social media and other digital media platforms (blogs); follow-up using social media analytics.
3.Coordinating and liaising with mainstream and online media for story ideas, coverage of events and placing articles in the Opinions section.
5.Developing the structure and content of an organisation’s website.
6.Curating, editing and proofreading all types of content
7. High proficiency in MS Word, especially w.r.t developing templates and formatting documents.
8. Managing the operations of a communications team.

I studied Global Studies at the University of Wroclaw, Poland and University of Leipzig, Germany under the Erasmus Mundus programme. Prior to that, I received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Lady Sriram College for Women, University of Delhi.
