Affiliations and Achievements:
Having returned from LSE, I commenced my career by working as an analyst in PriceWaterhouse Coopers and thereafter moved to the investment team of Jacob Ballas Capital India to analyse and evaluate opportunities for private equity investment in Indian companies. However, I have always had a deep interest in the social and health sectors so even while employed at Jacob Ballas, I worked as a volunteer at Prayas, a leading NGO in India focused on child welfare and development. Since the charitable model has several limitations with regard to sustainability and scalability, I was particularly keen to understand how a sustainable social business enterprise works in the challenging field of healthcare in India and thus proceeded to volunteer my time at Healthpoint Services.

While the passion to contribute to the development sector was set in at an early age through involvement in school social service projects, my desire to make a significant contribution in the field of maternal and child health evolved over time. In addition to recognising the critical role of health in human development, I was deeply moved by the challenges confronted by poor women and children availing health services in both rural and urban settings and hence decided to pursue a career in public health. As a first step towards this, I decided to build on my degree in management and secured the ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Reproductive and Child Health Programmes’ from the Indian Institute of Public Health in 2018. Thereafter, I have assisted Project Concern International, India with the development of their strategy in the Child protection domain. I then proceeded to work with CARE India as a consultant to design tools for a process evaluation of the Incremental Learning Approach (ILA) - a capacity building and supervisory system strengthening intervention implemented under the Government’s National Nutrition Mission (POSHAN Abhiyaan).
