Professional Experience: |
Working with Catholic Relief Services (CRS), an international humanitarian aid organization, from January 2006 till date in various capacities - initially as a Program Officer managing specific projects in North East India on Disaster Risk Reduction, Emergency response, Livelihood promotion, Micro Finance. Worked as a Linkage Officer for 2 years, supporting partners across North East for smooth phase over of a USAID supported food program of CRS to government programs. Since the last 5 years, working as Program Coordinator leading the Disaster Risk Reduction programs in Assam and emergency response programs in North East India, facilitate the achievement of project objectives through coordinating and reporting on all project activities and providing technical guidance to staff and implementing partner. Providing programmatic and management quality support to project partners to ensure agency, country program standards and best practices are incorporated into projects. Key responsibilities include coordinating and overseeing working relationships with all local project stakeholders and serve as the liaison between them and the project team to mobilize local actors and promote project activities and impact; provide strong monitoring and support supervision to partner staff; manage project budget and ensure financial monitoring and planning; provide technical oversight and input; track progress and ensure robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning, analysis and use of information and organizational and sectoral learning; Facilitate project linkages with relevant government agencies at block and district level; ensure the timely and proper utilization of resources at the partner level.
Worked with Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Nidhi (RGVN), a national level multi state development and support organization, from December 1999 to January 2006 as a Project Executive and a Senior Project Executive. Responsibilities entailed selecting appropriate areas and project partners for RGVN intervention, formulating project proposals and monitoring of these projects during implementation. Also worked with the Head Office of RGVN as a team member of the Resource Unit. Responsibilities entailed assessing capacity building needs of NGOs and preparing capacity building plans as per the needs, analyzing data, documentation of good practices, networking and collaboration.

Provided voluntary services first as the Secretary cum Convener of the Inter Agency Group – Assam (IAG) during 2010 – 2013 and later as the Chairperson of the IAG from 2017 till date. The IAG in Assam is a collective of civil society organizations, national and international agencies engaged in disaster preparedness and emergency response.
