1.Catholic Relief Services, New Delhi-India Role: Director-Emergency Relief and Recovery October 2010-till date Role Summary: Established strategic and operational linkages between national level and state level stakeholders for Emergency, WASH (Water & Sanitation), Livelihood and Shelter programme; Liaised with government stakeholders to enable programme implementation in 15 states covering interventions in 75 districts; Managed a programme budget of over $2 million USD, annually; Provided supervisory & capacity building support to 84 staff in India. Ensured effective Procurement & Logistics, Financial & HR systems and systems and processes to be in place to support high-quality programming. 2.Catholic Relief Services, India Role:Management Quality Director|2008– 2010 Role Summary Provided leadership and oversight to Supply Chain Management of USAID funded Title II Country Program, managing a team of 60 operations staff handling supplies at different Ports in India; Liaised with Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Nodal Ministry), Customs & Port (Mumbai, Vishakhapatnam & Kolkata) & ALIMCO (Clearing & Forwarding agent) to address the challenges faced in clearing of the Title II food commodities; Responsible for effective distribution of food supplies to 2000 NGOs across India, all the while ensuring commodities remain fit for human consumption during the entire process. 3. Catholic Relief Services, Mumbai Role: Material Resource Coordinator || 2003 - 2008 Role Summary Overall management of food commodity distribution (received under the Indo-US Bilateral agreement), to 700 NGO’s at the western zone level in 5 states (Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra), effectively managing Logistics and Supply Chain, Administration and ICT enabled tracking and monitoring. Managed a team of mid-level managers and over 30 support staff and contractors engaged in the program. 4.Catholic Relief Services, Mumbai Role:Programme Executive(Logistics)| 1995–2003 Role: Internal auditor || 1991 - 1995 Role Summary Managed and Monitored CRS food security Title II program funded by USAID, under the Indo US Bilateral agreement, operational in India since 1946. The programmed aimed at meeting the needs of food insecure communities, combating hunger and providing food support to local partners to help strengthen other development programmes in the areas of education, health and agriculture. 5. Key Achievements •Certificate of Appreciation received from the AP government to CRS in 2018 for quickly delivering emergency relief assistance to affected population. •Carried out Rapid Assessment followed by presentation of Quick Situation Reports to the donors enabling resource mobilization / project funding of over $2 Million USD a year in India; also facilitated reaching out to affected population with relief support within 5 days of disaster. •Special recognition award in appreciation for outstanding achievement received on Sep’15 from CRS Head quarter (Baltimore US) for TDY support to Nepal Earthquake emergency response. •Nominated for special recognition award for exceptional performance, commitment and contribution to CRS in 2013-2014 out of over 5000 employees at the CRS Head Quarter level.
