Professional Experience:
Please accept this as a statement of my interest for an opportunity within the development sector. After having spent close to 15 years in the corporate world, I am now seeking roles within the development sector with a focus of adding value to the communities around me and to be able to contribute to a cause. I feel I am at a juncture where I want to align my increasing need for being connected with the communities along with putting my skills to use that I have developed over the years.

In small ways, I have been able to devote my time and skills to NGOs where I am currently volunteering as a social media manager for the National chapter of Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI), helping in their advocacy efforts. Apart from this, I have also been involved in various weekend projects with local NGOs and contribute in areas of communication and operations. My key interests lie in the areas of social welfare (women and children) and environment conservation.

In my most current role, I have been involved in business development activities for my firm. Previously, I have served within team & project management and marketing communication roles. In these capacities, I have interacted with stakeholders, both internally and externally. Even though I have operated in the corporate environment throughout, I believe that this very experience of undertaking complex assignments and meeting tight deadlines with a disciplined approach is one of my key strengths.

A brief description of some of my key competencies are listed below:

• Marketing and Communications: I have been involved in marketing efforts in both my previous and current roles for the purposes of business development. This has required me to be extensively involved with ideation of campaigns, creation of marketing collaterals, press releases, and working with sales personnel. I have been able to lend these skills along with an acquired skill of social media marketing for my pro-bono work as well, for MSSI.

• Project Management: This role has progressively required me to be at the forefront of leading global and regional projects, that involve stakeholder management, implementation and execution in tight timeframes and prompt reporting & postings to senior management. I have been involved with allocation of resources, procurement of data, creation of project plans and roadmaps, and the final execution.

• Risk Management: As part of the compliance team, risk management and mitigation are the core principles that I have worked with. I have been involved with creation of policies and procedures that have been implemented on a firmwide level. I have led efforts for regulatory implementations as well as social media compliance oversight groups.
