In a career spanning 35 years as a senior level management executive with defence career background in the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army and post defence experience in Post Conflict Environment Management (humanitarian demining/explosive ordnance disposal) in United Nations accredited NGO domain, I am seeking positions of Senior level Management in International NGOs including Corporates.
During my 25 years’ tenure with the Indian Army, I have assumed senior level assignments in Operations, HR, Logistics, Training, Construction & Maintenance fields, and have been commended for distinguished service on four occasions. I bring with me strong technical and operational proficiency in handling land mines, UXOs & EOD. I have also been deputed as Chief Humanitarian Officer with United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, where I was closely associated with various NGOs and delegates in the field. Inspired by the humanitarian work being undertaken in the field by UN and various dedicated NGOs, I also co founded Horizon Group (UN accredited NGO), where I have been heading operations of two entities e.g. Horizon Assignments (India) Pvt. Ltd., and Horizon (Organisation for Post Conflict Environment Management Trust). As the co founder, I am instrumental in establishing global footprint of Horizon and organization’s capabilties in post conflict environment management having rendered more than 100 million Sq M of area free from land Mines and UXOs including destruction of more than 100,000 devices, leading to rehabilitation of IDPs and development of economic activities.
Being from the military and having an intimate knowledge of human suffering as well as their power to shape the world, I am deeply inspired to undertake assignments of international conflict resolution, spreading peace and justice as well as removing human suffering are the main stay.
