Professional Experience:
She has interned with Make a Difference, Vidya, HAQ Centre for Child Rights, where she has extensively worked on child rights and has prepared a report in June 2018 on the provisions of Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) act, 2012. She has also carried out multiple Quantitative and Qualitative research projects on Voting trends, Policy analysis, Perception of people towards child sexual abuse.
HAQ Centre for Child Rights (May-July 2018)
During the course of the internship, I researched on POCSO act by crying out extensive community, home and field visits to see how the act is being implemented and in what way is it making a difference on the ground. Along with this, I carried out a qualitative research with Delhi as the field site to understand the perception of people towards child sexual abuse.
Make a difference (May 2015-April 2016)
I worked on designing and developing workshops for students of grade 9 and 10 on sensitive issues that were not addressed as part of the education curriculum. These workshops were carried out twice a week and focused on holistic development of children along with educational development.
Vidya (October 2014-February 2015)
I worked as a part time instructor for students of grade 1 and 2 to provide assistance with English.
Education:
I did my schooling from a reputed school in Delhi where I pursued Humanities. I went on to study English Literature in my graduation from Ramjas College, University of Delhi which gives me a good grip over language both written and spoken as well as a good flair in all sorts of writing- report, briefs, memos, research papers. I further did my masters in Public Policy and Governance from Azim Premji University, Bangalore which gives me a balanced knowledge of the legal and governance structure of our country. Along with this, I was taught multiple tools of quantitative as well as qualitative research like Nvivo, Stata. I have a good understanding of the Policy planning, implementation and evaluation and can work comfortably on it in any sector.
