Professional Experience: |
I have an experience of around eleven years in Public Health.
I am currently working as a Senior Program Officer at PATH India on multiple projects including the Japanese encephalitis (JE) projects. I am also the focal person for the JE vaccine introduction and sustainability project for the South East Asian countries with key focus on Bhutan, Bangladesh and Indonesia. I have also worked extensively in the JE project in India which included support to the Ministry of Health in Acute encephalitis syndrome (AES)/JE surveillance, introduction, planning and implementation of JE vaccination campaigns and JE vaccine in routine immunization, vaccine forecasting, development of resources, capacity building and monitoring and evaluation and research studies. I have also been working on the AES project in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar (PATH). I also supported the stakeholders in developing evidence based strategies, policy making, health system strengthening and capacity building of all levels of health personnel on clinical management of AES cases for reducing the case fatality rates. Additionally, I have been supporting in resource development, new proposals and donor management. I am also currently working on the safe oxygen access project, PATH.
Prior to working with PATH, I worked as a Consultant with UNICEF in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar with key focus on strengthening initiatives in Child Survival - Neonatal and Child Health, Maternal Health and Routine Immunization.
My key competencies include Neglected Tropical Diseases and Infectious disease surveillance, epidemiology Immunization, Child Survival, Maternal Health, Dentistry -Oral health promotion and oral cancer.
