Professional Experience: |
Research Consultancy at INRM Consultants (Special Solutions Division) for the Social Vulnerability Assessment of Navi Mumbai to Multiple Hazards, funded by the UNDP. ? As Consultant at Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi in a project on Public Health Engagement in India funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. ? Work experience as a Research Assistant at Disha Foundation (NGO working on Migration Research), contributing in intensive literature survey, data analyis & writing for research papers and writing detailed project proposals submitted to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and National Commission on Scheduled Tribes (NCST). ? Was member of the consultancy team at Disha Foundation, that developed “Operational Guidelines on Migration Support Program for Tribal Migrants” submitted to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The proposal has been approved by the Ministry and I am also involved in the project currently running at the Foundation, as a Consultant. ? As part of PhD research and other previous field studies through the course of Master’s study, experience of travelling to rural Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in India and drafting questionnaire schedules, working out research & study designs and planning & conducting primary field level surveys. ? Good knowledge of statistical software SPSS and fair knowledge of STATA and ARC GIS software for spatial analysis ? Proficienct in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and relevant web-based literature search engines ?

Internship at Disha Foundation, a pioneer NGO working in the area of Health, Livelihood, Legal aid and support with various vulnerable populations in India since 2002, via direct intervention, research and policy dialogue with regional and National Government. ? Appeared in the Union Public Service Commission, Civil Services Interview for the year 2014. It is the competetive exam for the merit based selection of public servants in India. There are 3 stages for selection, interview being the final one. ? Qualified Union Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) and awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Geography in 2013. Recently upgraded for Senior Research Fellowship since February 2017. ? Member of the Editor’s Team for annual Department of Geography Magazine during graduation at Kirorimal College, Delhi University ?
