I started working as a medical intern in 2002 and till 2007 I was working and training in high volume hospitals in New Delhi, which expose me to the workings of health care in public sector at tertiary level and its challenges. Then I did residency in a tertiary private hospital and gained experience in the challenges of affordability and transparency.
After my management training I started working in healthcare consulting with one of the 'Big Four' consulting firms and worked with private sector and international and national agencies working in public health. The work covered a broad spectrum with operational excellence and financial due diligence on one side to developing strategy for service expansion or improving health goals on the other.
I realised my passion for preventive and primary health while working in consulting and decided to develop my knowledge in this area and do some work in this area. So I got a degree in Family medicine and started my website , which aims to prepare the user to manage their health and wellness on their own and also provides self management advice to diabetes and heart disease patients etc.
I started my company Healthwise Preventive Services LLP in 2017 and we are developing digital solutions in health management and monitoring. The product under development currently is an android mobile application. As another initiative under the company I got into a partnership with CHL Hospital Indore and Indus Health Services to provide preventive and family health services as an innovative 'HealthWise Comprehensive Preventive Consult'. In the short span of a few months the consult got appreciated a lot. Now I have moved back to Delhi and am looking for challenging work in area of public health, developmental or NGO led innovative health care delivery models
My company will develop its product under my supervision, but my partner will take a more active role in everyday running of its matters
