Currently associated as Senior Consultant with NDMA, GoI, worked with Govt Sector (NDMA, GoI) for 6 years, NGO Sector - SEEDS and AIDMI for 8 years, Disaster Mgt Consultancy (Knowledge Links Pvt. Ltd) for 3 years, and Corporate Sector for 10 years (Tata Chemicals Ltd as Risk Mgt Facilitator and Community Coordinator).
Qualification -M.Sc/PG in Disaster Mitigation. Completed On- line training courses on Safe Cities, Comprehensive Disaster Risk Mgt and Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction, from World Bank and National Institute of Disaster Management (World Bank-NIDM) India. Additional qualifications – Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Operations and Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.). Qualified Risk Assessor from the British Safety Council (BSC, United Kingdom). Certified ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Auditor. Certified First Aider from St. John Ambulance Association. 15 plus research papers submitted on the Disaster Management (DM) related topics.
Experience of managing various functions related to disaster mgt, onsite & offsite emergency planning, post disaster response coordination, business risk management, Contingency Planning, Enterprise Risk Management, process and behavioural safety at India, Maldives and Afghanistan. Carried out Multi hazard HVCRA Study of 11 South East Asian Countries for WHO SEARO.
Contributed in preparation and finalization of National DM Plan of Afghanistan (Donor UNDP) and Strategic National Action Plan of Maldives, institutionalization through Provincial level consultations.
Prepared SOPs for State of UP, State DM Plans (SDMPs) and District DM Plans (DDMPs) for State of MP & HP, 15 Departments DMPs of AP,68 DDMPs of MP, Bihar & AP, 11 City DMPs, 70 School DMPs.
