I completed Masters in Development from Azim Premji University, Bangalore with major in Livelihoods, Empirical Policy Analysis, Poverty – concepts and theories, Socio-economic Analysis, Law and Governance, Vocational Education and Economics of Development
As a part of my field immersion during the Master’s program, I did three studies which were focused on detailed analysis of community-based interventions and livelihoods restoration programs. I was engaged with renowned organizations like Wipro Cares, World Vision and GMR Foundation. I was given a chance to develop the Baseline for livelihood restoration program for the flood-affected communities of Uttarkashi, Uttrakhand. I have done the impact analysis of GMR foundation work in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. I got a chance to study the socio-economic condition of Sehria community in Bara, Rajasthan. These field immersions help me to understand the grassroots reality of development and how communities are living on the thresholds to save their existence. My course allowed me to go beyond and look for the answers.
