Professional Experience:
Over the course of a career spanning around 20 years, I have worked successfully in varied roles requiring a host of skills like Project Management, Corporate Learning and Development, Soft Skills Training and Business Development. I have the benefit of working with both social development sector as well as the corporate industry. I understand the needs and challenges of both environments and therefore, in a position to effectively liaise between the two. My exposure to different job functions in my journey upwards has kept me grounded in each of the processes involved in a particular operation, across levels of hierarchy.

My latest employment was at Score Foundation, a non-profit working towards empowering blind and visually impaired people. As the Project Manager at Score, I was solely responsible for building strategic partnerships with NGOs across India to create a strong collective network called Eyeway, which was set up to provide easily accessible solutions to blind citizens residing in any part of the country. The launch of Eyeway national network also involved setting up of a toll-free helpline that would disseminate information on ‘living life with blindness’. My experience in the service industry coupled with expertise in training, operations and management helped successfully launch the service across 6 centres in the initial year. Today Eyeway helpline service is available to blind people in Delhi, Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir.

I also worked on a Skills Development Programme, training visually impaired people towards enhancing their employability in mainstream jobs. In addition, I have conducted sensitization workshops with several ophthalmologists to impress upon them the need to redirect untreatable eye patients towards rehabilitation.

Prior to Score, I worked with America World Adoption Association (AWAA) as Country Coordinator liaisoning with orphanages as well as the government to facilitate adoption processes.

Before switching to the development sector, I worked with IBM, managing a team of trainers. Some of my core responsibilities included providing extensive Voice and accent training for UK and US-based processes, Comprehensive Soft Skills Training in Transactional Analysis, call control and other behaviour management subjects.

I am looking for an equally challenging role in the non-profit sector where I can effectively put my past experience to use towards impacting change in the lives of those who have been neglected, forgotten or overlooked by mainstream society.
