I am currently working as a Senior Technical Associate in Uttar Pradesh Technical Support Unit (UP-TSU) in India Health Action Trust (IHAT), Lucknow. The Project deals with the Strengthening of First Referral Units (FRU) in 25 High Priority Districts of Uttar Pradesh in the MNCH Division.The knowledge and skills acquired while working in this organisation has added unmatched experience and proficiency in making me a competent public health professional
I have also obtained exclusive training in the Department of Neurology, from Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, for a period of 6 months as Junior Resident.
I have attended multiple medical camps during outreach programs organized in different villages during my compulsory rotatory internship in Preventive and Social Medicine at medical school. These included Leprosy Clinics, Old Age Homes, Community Health Centers amongst others. I am a trained physician from Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara (Nepal). I have attended multiple medical camps during outreach programs organized in different villages during my compulsory rotatory internship in Preventive and Social Medicine at medical school.
I have successfully completed my Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Jaipur, India. This is a collaboration between the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Indian Institute of Health Management and Research, Jaipur. I have graduated from John's Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore.
I have done my Capstone Project on Reproductive Health in selected high focus districts of Uttar Pradesh, India-A study on the continuum of maternal care. The study is based on analysis of NFHS 4 data, and its comparison with AHS 3, to analyse the amount of change that has occurred in these High Priority Districts. The aim of the study was to select the high focus districts of Uttar Pradesh and rank them according to a composite index, comparing the change that has occurred before and after the districts were termed "High Focus".
