Professional Experience: |
I possess unique academic qualifications, with degrees in Biomedical Science and Education. I started my career in the pharmaceutical industry in Singapore and moved to the education sector in India. I have successfully applied the learnings from my International corporate experience to address challenges in the school system in India. This exposure to two different industries, economies and work cultures gives me a unique perspective that I can leverage to contribute to any organization.
My exemplary quality of work and leadership impact have been recognised and awarded in International platforms. Early in my career, I was chosen to manage the Clinical Research teams in Singapore and Malaysia. This involved me learning to handle appraisals and payrolls, overseeing budgets, managing audits etc., within a short span of time. My exceptional performance in this role placed me on the company's coveted 'Accelerate Program', designed to groom the top talents towards senior management positions. I subsequently managed six brands worth 7 million SGD in the Vaccines marketing team. My ability to effectively manage projects, handle campaigns and engage stakeholders would enable me to work in and lead teams in organizations.
After a successful corporate career, driven by the need to raise education standards in India, I took a well-evaluated risk to foray into the education sector in India. Within a span of three years, I have led and executed projects that have transformed children's lives. I spearheaded a first-of-its-kind mentorship program that was instrumental in the children of daily wage labourers studying beyond Class X. Today some of them are pursuing degrees from reputed colleges. I have worked closely with dropout children in villages as part of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) initiative, to brainstorm and submit research proposals to solve issues affecting their communities. In my recent stint, prior to pursuing my MBA was in a Chennai school, where I introduced a performance management system to address teacher attrition and quality issues. I also effected important relationships and partnerships towards whole-school development.
