Professional Experience: |
Currently lead a 50 member team that runs 300 preschools across villages in Karnataka and Maharashtra. Have been an integral part of the start-up leadership team that scaled its social business over a 5-year period. This experience has helped me gain deep insight on how the nascent social business works and the challenges thereof. Prior to this, I led curriculum development for KG, primary and secondary school segment over a 10 year period across 2 very different organisations. This spanned both the rural and the urban landscape. The challenge of designing teacher development and engagement programs for teachers in rural landscape made me experiment with unconventional approaches and they have yielded good results.
I started my career in the education space with a stint at teaching German language to MBA students. I later experimented with techniques used in foreign language teaching and applied the same to the eager learners of the English language. Through this college to KG journey, I have worked in and led teams across core areas in the education space – curriculum design, delivery, teacher training and development, large scale operations, and business sustainability. I have had the opportunity of being mentored by passionate professionals and visionaries in the education space. I have in turn focused on team-building and leadership development at all junctures of my professional journey.
