•Currently working on – “Studies on sesame seeds and their coproduct (white/black) for its functional and nutritional applications” for my Ph.D. research work under the guidance of Prof. Satya Narayan Naik and Prof. Rajender Prasad at Indian Institute of Technology- Delhi.

• Attended and participated in 2- week International course in Nutrition Research Methods, Obama Singh Knowledge Initiative organized by Bangalore Boston Nutrition Collaborative (BBNC) at St. John’s Research Institute, Bengaluru, India, from 9th – 20th January 2017.
• Worked at Shriram Institute for Industrial research, in food and farm laboratory from May 2011 to Dec 2011. I was given hands on training on biochemical testing procedures of food and farm products. I also worked on a project entitled “Studies for determination of adulteration in unbranded cooking oils collected form areas of Delhi, using state of art instrumental techniques” under the guidance of Dr. Manjit Kaur.
• Worked in Delhi Flour Mill, In- Plant, October 2010. I assisted in carrying out analysis of different varieties of flour manufactured by DFM for various physical and chemical parameters in their research and development laboratory; also got the exposure of how milling of wheat is carried out under the guidance of Mr. Anuj Maheswari (Production Manager).
• Worked in National Diary Research Institute Karnal, experimental diary (Market milk section and quality control laboratory) in June 2010. I was exposed to daily milk industry challenges and how they deal with it. I also assisted on a project titled “Assessment of anti-nutritional factors in pearl millet” under the guidance of Dr. AK Singh (Senior Principle Scientist).
• Attended 2- week Work shop and sandwich course organized by Quality council of India in collaboration with Institute of Home Economics (University of Delhi). New Delhi on Indian & International Acts, laws & standards, from 3rd – 25th October 2009.
• Worked in Cooperative outreach of India, New Delhi in July 2009. I worked in the community development projects in various villages and slums of Delhi undertaken by the Cooperative outreach of India. I taught the value of nutrition through various talks and demonstrations in the communities to several hundred women. I imparted various skills to the women’s groups in those slums and villages to help them understand the balance diet and good nutrition through easily and readily available food products under the guidance of Ramesh Landge (Executive Director).

• Awarded Special Merit Certificate for achieving distinctions in five subjects in M.Sc. Previous Foods and Nutrition during the session 2009-2010.
• Awarded Sh. Des Raj Trilok Memorial Award for having secured the position of best student in biochemistry in M.Sc. Food and Nutrition (previous year) during the session 2009-2010.
• Awarded Special Merit Certificate for achieving distinctions in two subjects in M.Sc. Final Foods and Nutrition during the session 2010-2011.
• Awarded Dr. Mohini Sethi Award for best dissertation in M.Sc. Food and Nutrition (final year) during the session 2010-2011.
• Awarded National eligibility test for lectureship and junior research fellowship from University Grant Commission on 16th December 2011.
• Awarded Best poster – First, for Enhancement of frying quality and stability of vegetable oil by incorporating sesame oil at the Recent advances in food processing and biotechnology, International conference organized Centre for food science and technology, Institute of agricultural sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, 5th - 6th April 2016.
