INDIAN NAVY : I served in the Indian Defence forces (Indian Navy) as an officer for 14 years in various capacities and performing a multitude of activities. (Retired as Commander Equivalent to Lt Col in Army) AUG 1993 – AUG 2007

1. Prepared training modules; helped evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through development of pre/post assessment tools.
2. Accomplished responsibility for Recruitment and Selection of Naval Officers/Men. Guided, controlled and motivated a team of Officers/Staff and instilled in them a sense of confidence to deliver peak levels of performance.
3. Meticulously handled various HR projects i.e. job enrichment and job empowerment raising commitment and motivation levels of the personnel.
4. Judiciously handled wages & salary administration for entire manpower and ensured compliance with statutory requirements of various Acts
5. Pioneer in introducing computerization/systematic working in various departments.
6. Drew up Policies & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on turnover of personnel, Career Progress plan, leave, sports etc.
Introduced MIS to create & maintain a data base of approved Vendors.
Handled independently hospitality, event management, and Media Brief to Print/ Electronic Media.

Worked out the C&B plans and policies based on benchmarks and internal parity, preparing the performance potential grid and incorporating structural salary changes to ensure company’s competitive position in the market.
k. Developed and implemented a strategic comprehensive performance appraisal system including performance evaluation based on 5 key parameters for shop floor associates linking it with motivation/ appreciation activities.

I completed my education from school level to Masters at Visakhapatnam.
Masters in Human Resource Management from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. – 1991-1993(2 year regular course)
B.Com from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. 1988-1991
