A Brief Synopsis of Myself :
I have 25+ years of work experience spanning across various industries like - hospitality, telecom, global outsourcing (managing clients from geo's like US, UK, Australia). Post that I transitioned into the non-profit space as a part of my long standing philanthropic mission, in 2013.
In all of my corporate roles above, I have led large teams and worked closely with HR and other resource units that support talent management. My corporate management roles have given me exposure to manage the business side of the house with accountability for driving Operational Metrics, P&L, Client Relationship Management and also responsibility for resource units like HR, IT, Logistics, OD, Finance, etc. I see this as an advantage whilst running HR as a strategic resource unit.
I have been associated with CanKids since 2013 to 2018. They are a PAN INDIA non profit that works at the grassroot level, in the space of Pediatric Oncology and provides wholistic support to families, whose child is going through cancer treatment. The scope of support includes - funding, diagnostics, treatment, intermittent education, psycho-social counselling and integration back to society.
I have worn multiple hats with them and assisted in fundraising, resource mobilization, awareness and advocacy, patient counselling and running HR for them as their HR Director for India. I was also part of their Western Region Management Team and on their HR Advisory Board. The size of the organisation that time was ~175 employees across India (besides a few consultants and about 15 volunteers with specific roles) As discussed the other day, my engagement with CanKids has been completely pro-bono as it was aligned with my personal aspiration of giving back to society.
I currently help a few grassroot level NPO's with fundraising efforts / advise on CSR partnerships. I am looking for roles where, there is not only meaningful contribution of my skills / talent, but also a component of making a difference to society.
By academic background I am an MBA in Marketing and I recently invested in myself with an 18 month EDP (Executive Development Program) in HR from TISS, Mumbai to augment my skills - specifically in the realm of HR for the non profit space.

I have done my MBA in Marketing from Welingkar's institute of management, Mumbai, in 1994. I completed an EDP in Human Resources from TISS, Mumbai to augment my HR skills (Batch of Jan 2020). My additional qualifications are B.A in Economics and Hospitality Management.
