NCPEDP - Senior Project Coordinator. August 2011 –Present (National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People)
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting in planning, developing & implementing projects.
- Headed a project on a National Youth Convention.
- Created a nation-wide survey and collected extensive data of all the colleges and universities on students with disabilities.
• Writing proposals, preparing reports, etc.
- Prepared a consolidated report on Disability Rights Budget Analysis (DRBA) workshop organized by International Disability Alliance (IDA) and NCPEDP.
- Prepared a report on the country's only Pan-Disability Conference and Exhibition: Techshare
• Liaison with Ministries, Departments, Government officials
- Liaised with the Planning Commission
- Advocated inclusion of disability sector in different sectors in the 12th Five Year Plan by nominating disability experts in the steering committees of various ministries.
• Tracking government policies, schemes, etc. on disability issues.
- Assisted in the review of the Country Report Draft by Ministry of Social Justice, Govt. of India on implementation of UNCRPD United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
• Coordinating consultations, seminars, meetings, etc. at National, Zonal and State level
- Coordinated the meeting of the executive members of DPI (Disabled People’s International) in developing the draft of 5 year strategic action plan.
