I have worked extensively in the development sector in India. Some organisations I have worked for include UNDP (Ukraine) and UNFPA (India), Oxfam GB (Delhi), and the Asia South Pacific Association for Basic & Adult Education (ASPBAE), which is my current employer.
I have extensive experience in -
Developing and implementing communication strategies;
Increasing awareness about issues and events through producing high quality communication tools such as e-bulletins, newsletters, brochures, photographs, advocacy materials, user-friendly and up-to-date website, social media;
Working on producing communication materials for events;
Working with partners to building capacities in effective communication skills;
Ensuring a highly visible and consistent brand image for an organisations;
Managing the organisation’s communications programme and budget.
My diverse experience in the development sector in India and in the region has been an asset to my understanding of issues faced by communities, especially by marginalised women and disadvantaged groups, and has enabled me to bring a culturally appropriate perspective to my work.
