My Internship work experience was related to Assisting in OPD of the Pavlov Mentalhospital, history taking, administering scales.
Taking case history of persons visiting the Urban Mental Health clinic in the slums and visiting their homes to motivate the families to provide support.
Assist in the daily routine activities of homeless women with psychosocial disability in the shelter program. To establish rapport and build a therapeutic relationship with two persons in the shelter with short term goal of increasing their motivation to join the vocational classes. To visit and assist the social workers in their duties to reach the outreach patients who need enhanced care on the streets of Kolkata.
Interacting and supporting the work of coaching and motivating children who had become dropouts from school from the age group 4 to 14 years. Survey of the slums and villages to identify children who were probable drop outs. Taking part in awareness campaigns.
Participated in Group Counselling process, play therapy for children infected and affected with HIV/AIDS, home visits to assess the condition of families and children who have re joined their families, observation of doctors clinics in community, awareness programs and awareness material creation, participation in celebrations.

Have also worked with children and young adults in difficult circumstances. Graduated with a Major in Communicative English. Schooling was completed from Loreto Sealdah where social work was a part of the school curriculum.
