Professional Experience: |
My fellowship at Teach for India has been a greater arena to showcase my leadership and people skills, where I've learnt to channelize the collective energy and enthusiasm of my students into their holistic development. Being in charge of nurturing and educating students from adverse socio economic backgrounds, the journey has been challenging yet highly rewarding and I've grown on to become a much more patient and resourceful person, who has been able to identify and give directions to the individual aptitudes of the students. The fragile and impressionable age group of these students has always urged me to search for the most innovative solutions, tailor made to suit the needs of each child.
Teamwork being one of the core philosophies that I've followed both in my classroom and in life, I've found it to be the essential ingredient for successful implementation of both short and long term plans. I've had no greater professional satisfaction than seeing my classrooms' vision for their communities come alive through consorted actions brought together by teamwork. As a fellow my role was not limited to only the classroom but I also had to create and make available more avenues in the lives of the children so as to facilitate their access to better opportunities and resources. I've had to continuously build and maintain fruitful relationships with multiple stakeholders including the headmistress, parents, other organizations etc. and in doing so I've repeatedly had to fall back on my inter personal and communication skills. I’m certain that the same approach when applied to a more focused and structured organization would render exemplary results.
I am currently employed as a Manager – Client Relations and Content at AICL Communications, Mumbai. In my current occupation, I consult with the top-level management of blue-chip companies to provide them with communication and corporate reporting solutions.

I have completed my double masters from University of Pune and IGNOU in English and Sociology respectively with Grade 'A'. Prior to that I pursued my B.A. in English from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune. I graduated with a First Class, Distinction. In addition to that, I also hold a Diploma in Liberal Arts from Symbiosis International University.
